MARTVILI CANYON

Destination – Martvili Canyon! Are you planning your trip to the Black Sea? Just remember that Martvili Canyon is 45 km away from Kutaisi, and before discovering the Black Sea, experience a part of Georgia, which used to be a bathing place of Dadiani.

Visitor Centre of Martvili Canyon is located in the village Inchkhuri. 700 meters circular hiking trail starts from the visitors’ centre and passes through Dadiani’s historic walkway. There are 2 bridges, 3 viewing platforms, and 30-step historic staircase that is built from limestone staircase.

Here you have the opportunity to take a trip by boat, 300 meters (one way) section of Abasha and enjoy the beautiful views of canyon. Here you have a great chance to enjoy diving and explore beautiful places under the water. Canyon welcomes visitors during week-end as well, thus put hiking clothes into the backpack and enjoy the vacations in Western Georgia.

  • You are able to buy Martvili Canyon entrance and boat tour tickets at Martvili Canyon Visitors’ Center
  • Working days: every day except Mondays
  • Due to visitors’ safety boat tour is not allowed in rainy and snowy weather
  • You can enjoy tours whole year round
  • While visiting boating route, visitor height must be more than 1 meter
  • Visitors participate in rowing the boat
  • It is possible to place 6 people in the boat
  • You are recommended to be casually dressed, wear sport shoes.

✖ Allow children under 14 unattended to use the trail

✖ Use the trail being influenced by alcohol

✖ Get out of the boat during the tour

✖ Enter the navigable route without safety vest
